This series of infrared photographs presents the idea of ‘disputed areas’ in historical narrative through the collective memories together with the personal memories of Kamjorn Sankwan. From the ordered closure of the Gold Mine in Pichit, and Kamjorn’s personal memory from his childhood in Payao and his wanderings throughout an area that has become restricted, causing them to find forensic evidence not available through the human eye, the images that appear to emerge from an alternate dimension.
