The sealed prehistoric room at one museum brought to mind to the artist a certain notion of history. Standing facing the closed olde worlde portal somehow opens up the possibility for us to visualise what prehistoric means and reconsider what we understand towards the time before civilisation. Light coming from the side that accentuates the opaque wall and door, also reveals the moving of time that is connecting the past and the present. Jeanne’s photography lies within the realm of the cinematic, details that appeared in the image invite us into her remarkable chronicles.
